I believe the most important thing Americans must do is to secure their economic well-being in an increasingly challenging, complex world. What I have written about all these years is the process of creating wealth, not for any one individual, but for the United States as a whole. Ever since I was a young correspondent witnessing the emergence of China after the country opened in 1979, I’ve believed we have to get more serious about creating wealth. I retain faith in the resiliency of the U.S. economy and the enterprise of American people. If Americans have the right strategies, we can once again create widespread wealth. This is […]

We have long known that the Chinese government has targeted American carbon composite technology. Carbon composites are extremely useful in aircraft frames because they are lightweight. And they are critically important in jet engines because of their ability to withstand high temperatures. It was General Electric’s carbon composite technology that Yanjun Xu, an official of […]

December 20, 2021
Here’s the latest broadside from Reuters: Amazon has curried favor in China by promoting books extolling the leadership of President Xi Jinping and his version of “socialism with Chinese characteristics.” This comes at the same time that the New York Times is describing how China’s government is spending massive amounts of money on Facebook and […]
