New report says China forces U.S. tech companies to share new vulnerabilities

Wired is reporting on a study establishing that the Chinese government demands that American technology companies operating in China inform the government of any newly discovered software vulnerabilities–before it tells its own customers. It appears that those vulnerabilities are then put into a database that can be accessed by Chinese hacking agencies. No wonder America’s IT systems are so porous.
