Bold Business has done an extensive review of The New Art of War, available here on Amazon. The debate about U.S.-China relations has been relatively muted during the Covid-19 crisis. But it is bound to intensify as the virus’ grip eases. We need a major rebalancing of the relationship because China is seeking to create a Sino-centric world order where Chinese telecommunications and Information Technology systems give the PRC unparalleled access to everyone’s secrets. China is seeking to conquer the world, including the United States, using a range of very sophisticated tools. We cannot “decouple” because China has become a global power and our economy is essentially fused with China’s. Decoupling would mean retreating to North America and erecting walls on our borders and other points of entry. We need to recognize points of cooperation and mutual interests at the same time we resist China’s overreach. I look forward to the debate.
